HD Hearing Test
Available for free on iOS and Android, you can map your
full-spectrum hearing profile in just 8 minutes using your own
earbuds or headphones. For the best results, use an approved,
calibrated device. The test detects your hearing threshold at 37
frequencies between 125Hz and 20kHz.
Your results offer valuable insights into your hearing and are designed
to optimize your listening experience with ARIA Studio, our High-Resolution
Sound Personalization software.
Early access limited to our public betas for now.
Coming in Q1 2025.
Free & Extended Reports
Discover your hearing with our free, full-spectrum, in-app results, designed to provide you with comprehensive insights at no cost.
For those seeking deeper analysis or integration with ARIA Studio, Extended Reports are available for just $10 per hearing test. These reports offer a detailed understanding of your hearing profile, delivered in multiple formats for your convenience:
In-App Extended Results: Over
six visuals and tables.
HD Hearing Test Report: 8-page PDF
emailed to you.
Data for ARIA Studio: Tabulated raw and cleaned
results in CSV files.
Test Results
HD Hearing Test results are plotted differently from the common
audiogram, which utilizes derived dB Hearing Level units. We report
primarily in decibels to maintain consistency with the requirements
of our hearing refinement signal processing software.
Please bear in mind that although there is a relationship between our
reported results and dB HL units, additional correction factors would
be necessary for each testing point to facilitate this translation. We
intend to report in dB HL units in the future as well.
When you start a hearing test, your progress is saved, allowing you to pause and return anytime. Upon completion or early conclusion, you'll receive interactive graphical displays of your results in-app. You can email a detailed PDF report, along with tabulated results, to yourself. These detailed results are necessary for use with ARIA Studio. Your results remain available in the app until deleted.
Your results are best utilized with sound personalization
software, such as ARIA Studio. Simply sign into ARIA Studio on
desktop, and your results will populate the software.
Viewing your results, saving them for future review, and discussing
them with others are also probable uses.
Limitations
The HD Hearing Test is designed to deliver test stimuli to your ear at a known intensity, up to the maximum output of the earbud or headphone in use. This is how the test determines your hearing threshold. At higher frequencies, our hearing threshold is much higher, which means these tones must be played loudly to be heard. For some hearables, this may mean that we are only able to increase the volume by 10 dB before reaching the device's maximum output, a very small range. Results should be viewed in this context, as not hearing a tone during testing does not equate to being unable to hear at that frequency.
