WHAT IS CORRECTIVE EQ

Corrective EQ is a final correction stage for imported frequency-response curves — built for headphone correction, room correction, and any target-curve workflow.

It is not a parametric EQ — there are no bands to sweep or Q to tune. You supply a proven target response (from AutoEQ, Equalizer APO, REW, a headphone database, or your own measurements), and Corrective EQ renders it faithfully with arbitrary-magnitude filters that match any curve shape.

Generating great correction curves is already a mature, well-served space. Rather than reinvent a measurement app, Corrective EQ solves the part that’s usually an afterthought: applying your curve with real filter quality, phase control, and a blend knob.

Bring the target response you already trust and choose exactly how it’s rendered:

  • Imports CSV, AutoEQ / Equalizer APO, GraphicEQ, and plain frequency/dB text (20 Hz–20 kHz)

Corrective EQ ships with a full analysis suite, so you can see exactly what your correction is doing — not just hear it.

Track levels with input, output, and gain-reduction meters, plus compliant loudness metering on the input, the output, and the delta between them — so you always know how much the correction is changing your signal.

Read the stereo field with a Lissajous vector scope, polar sample, and polar level displays. Analyze frequency content with an FFT spectrum in stereo, left/right, and mid/side, plus a full spectrogram and a waveform view.

The standard installer above already includes the current macOS plugin formats listed in Technical Specs. Install an AUv2 build below only if your host application specifically requires AUv2 — for example, SoundSource by Rogue Amoeba.

Important: macOS allows only one Audio Unit version of Corrective EQ on a system at a time. Installing the AUv2 plugin will replace any existing AUv3 install of Corrective EQ, and vice versa. The standalone app and VST3 plugin are unaffected.
